Social Media Online Community Manager

 

NearShop is seeking a Social Media Online Community Manager with exceptional interaction skills and a strong background in social media and online community relations. The community Manager will be responsible for all day-to-day community relations on NearShop social network pages and building an audience for the NearShop brand across various social networks.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage online communities

  • Pursue initiatives to welcome and engage users (buyers and sellers) in NearShop various online communities

  • Establish and enforce standards for the NearShop community and interact directly with users to promote the NearShop brand

  • Interact with NearShop editorial and coaching staff to promote integration between content and community

  • Create and manage ads (Facebook, Adwords, ..)

  • Report to senior staff about successes and lessons from community and demonstrate consistent company growth within priority online communities

 Requirements:

  • Communicable and demonstrable experience and expertise in online community development

  • Experience moderating group discussions

  • Experience managing community leaders

  • Experience growing brands on social networks from the ground up

  • Creative, innovative, and wacky qualities
